My name is Javier and I was born in Mexico City. A scholarship brought me to the Netherlands in 2010 and I studied a Master’s degree in Renewable Energies at the University of Twente in Enschede.

After finishing I decided to try my luck and apply for the orientation year permit, the famous Zoekjaar, I got a job in the region of Twente and have been here ever since.

I became interested in personal finance a few years ago and that also led me to invest in the stock market, at that time I heard for the first time the concept of passive income, financial independence and from there I started to investigate more about how to achieve it. Since I started I have tried several things from banks to cryptocurrency mining, in this blog I will tell my experiences with the different products I have tried, I have always liked to share what I know.

In 2020 I started a project to import handicrafts and opened an online shop (www.decomundo.nl), the shop is on pause and I hope to resume it soon.

As you will notice I use the term Holland to refer to the Netherlands and also Dutch words, it is easier to understand that way sometimes.
