In addition to banks, there are other places where you can earn interest on your savings. And some of these places generally offer a higher interest rate than a traditional bank. In this post I list some of the possibilities you have to do so in the Netherlands.
Trade Republic
Trade Republic is a German broker, and now bank, that offers a higher interest rate than conventional banks. At the time of publishing this post it is offering 3.75% annual interest on your savings. In addition to this interest rate it offers other features such as a debit card, which make it an interesting option for investing and even spending. As a bank your savings are protected up to 100 thousand euros by the deposit guarantee.
All you have to do is transfer money to your Trade Republic account, all the money you don’t have invested in stocks or other products will be earning interest, the interest is paid to you every first day of the month.

Raisin
